The Picture Seems Fake

I am really indifferent on the Nomar trade. On one hand he is the identity of the Red Sox and it is going to been very strange seeing him play somewhere else. On the other hand he refused a 60 million dollar, four-year contract and he was going to walk at the end of the year. He has been a distraction and visibly unhappy.
The Red Sox lose some offense but on paper get better defensively. We get a player under contract through 2006; one less signing to deal with in the off-season.
This team has not been whole all season ? first injuries, suspensions and now 50% of the infield has changed. Only 8 months until 2005 season starts?
