Seth Godin mentions a new search engine, Exalead.
Although it has some cool features the name stinks. When you tell someone about it will they know how to spell it ... is it XALEAD? EXALEAD?, EXLEAD? It really doesn’t stand out as something I would remember. It sounds more like an application for CRM and not a search engine.
Brian: Hey check out this new search engine exalead.
Friend: What a lead?
Brian: Exalead.
Friend: X A L E A D?
Brian: No, forget it just use google.

I have been passed the musical baton from Eric.
Total volume of music files on my computer
Over 50 gigs last time I checked
The last CD I bought
Time Out - Dave Brubeck, I needed to have Take Five
Song playing right now
Indigo Eyes by Peter Murphy (streaming on Radio Nigel)
Five songs I listen to a lot, or mean a lot to me
I own over 1000 CD’s so this isn’t an easy one. So these are songs that I never tire of hearing.
People to whom I?m passing the baton to
» Billy
» Kat
Going to aim big here
» Seth Godin
» Adam Curry

Great article over at Salon on the Nuclear Option.
My Thoughts:
Bill Frist is a sore loser. During the Clinton years he tried to block the Paez nomination using similiar tactics. He failed. Now that the Republicans are in control he wants the rules to change to suit his needs. It is time to expend all this energy he has on the topic on some other pressing issues.

It was announced today that Halliburton is going to receive a 72 million dollar bonus from the government for doing a good job in Iraq. This is the same company which has, to date, overcharged the government $212 million dollars.
You did such a good job at trying to screw us here is some more money.
We have the biggest deficit in history and we are giving bonus money to one of the shadiest companies in this country. How about 72 million dollars be given to our failing education system. We continue to cut domestic programs but some how find billions for a war and millions for a bonus.
